Ghanaian Union in Thailand to Host “Thriving in Thai Society” Webinar on Language, Culture and Professional Success

BANGKOK, THAILAND — October 8, 2026: The Ghanaian Union in Thailand (G-Union) is set to organize an educational webinar titled “Thriving in Thai Society: Culture, Language, Workplace and Success” on Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM via Google Meet. The initiative seeks to equip Ghanaian expatriates, foreign teachers and other international professionals with practical knowledge to navigate Thai society, strengthen workplace relationships and improve cultural integration. As foreign educators continue to adapt to Thailand's linguistic and professional environment, the upcoming session will provide timely guidance on communication, cultural awareness and successful participation in Thai communities.

The webinar will feature Ms. Orawan Pakdeephol Anyiebu, an educator and language and culture enthusiast, as the main speaker, supported by Mr. Stephen G-D Donkor, President of the Ghanaian Union in Thailand and a Computer Science teacher at TRIS. Participants will explore five essential areas: learning the Thai national anthem, practical Thai language for classroom communication, working effectively with Thai teachers, understanding Thai school culture and observing professional etiquette. These topics are particularly relevant to foreign teachers seeking stronger collaboration with Thai colleagues, improved classroom communication and positive relationships with students, school administrators and local communities.

The webinar also aligns with Thailand's broader emphasis on professional standards, ethical conduct and educator development. The Teachers Council of Thailand establishes professional expectations covering responsibilities to colleagues, learners and society, while the Department of Employment has reinforced legal employment requirements for foreign teachers in 2026.

Although the webinar is an independent G-Union initiative rather than a government-sponsored programme, it complements these priorities by encouraging cultural understanding and responsible professional engagement. The Ghanaian Union in Thailand therefore invites members, foreign educators and interested expatriates to participate in this timely learning opportunity. Participants can join through the QR code on the official event poster or visit www.gat-th.com for union information. Through continued education and community collaboration, G-Union aims to empower its members to thrive professionally and socially in Thailand.
