The Ghanaian Union in Thailand (GUT) has announced Part 2 of its educational technology webinar series titled “Integrating AI in the Classroom,” scheduled for 6 June 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM (Thailand Time). The live online event will feature Rashid A. Asare (T. Rash), AI Educator, Educational Technology Advocate, and Educational Psychologist, who will guide educators on practical ways to leverage artificial intelligence to improve teaching, learning, and classroom engagement.
The webinar comes at a pivotal moment as schools worldwide accelerate the adoption of AI-powered educational tools to enhance learning outcomes and prepare students for the digital economy.
The urgency of AI integration in education has increased significantly following the rapid expansion of generative AI platforms and digital learning technologies. According to global guidance from UNESCO and OECD Education, artificial intelligence is increasingly transforming how educators create learning materials, assess student performance, personalize instruction, and support diverse learning needs.
Experts emphasize that teachers who understand how to use AI responsibly will be better positioned to meet modern educational demands while maintaining academic integrity and student-centered learning practices.
A major focus of the webinar will be the practical classroom applications highlighted in the event poster. Participants will learn how to create Animated Flash Cards, utilize Canva Premium for Teachers, and implement Canva AI for Teachers to develop engaging educational content. These tools are rapidly gaining popularity among educators because they reduce lesson preparation time, enhance visual learning experiences, and support differentiated instruction. Educational technology research continues to show that interactive multimedia content can improve student engagement and retention when used appropriately alongside traditional teaching methods.
The growing adoption of AI in education is also receiving attention from governments and educational authorities worldwide. Thailand's education sector has increasingly promoted digital transformation initiatives designed to strengthen technological competencies among teachers and students.
The country's ongoing focus on digital literacy aligns with broader international efforts to prepare learners for an AI-driven future. Policymakers and education leaders have repeatedly stressed that while AI offers significant opportunities, teachers remain essential in guiding critical thinking, ethical decision-making, creativity, and human interaction within the learning process.
Educational experts caution that effective AI integration requires more than simply introducing new software into classrooms. Research from organizations such as UNESCO’s AI and Education Programme highlights the importance of teacher training, ethical use guidelines, data privacy awareness, and continuous professional development.
Specialists recommend that educators focus on using AI as a supportive teaching assistant rather than a replacement for pedagogical expertise. When implemented responsibly, AI can assist with lesson planning, content creation, personalized feedback, language support, and student assessment while allowing teachers to devote more time to meaningful instruction.
As schools continue adapting to rapid technological change, the Ghanaian Union in Thailand's webinar represents a timely opportunity for educators to build future-ready skills and remain competitive in the evolving education landscape. By exploring innovative tools such as Animated Flash Cards, Canva Premium, and Canva AI, participants will gain practical strategies for enhancing classroom instruction and improving student engagement.
Organizers believe that empowering teachers with AI knowledge today will help create more effective, inclusive, and innovative learning environments for tomorrow, ensuring that educators remain at the forefront of educational excellence in the digital age.
